Oasis was born in France in 1966 and has a long history of fun and memorable advertising campaigns. It is a still drink based on natural ingredients, made of spring water and with at least 12% fruit content. No preservatives or colouring are added. Oasis communication strategy is driven by quirky humour. Commercials depict cartoon-like fruits with human features enjoying themselves while playing with water in natural settings.This line of communication has allowed Oasis to enhance its intrinsic values of joy and fun while transmitting a carefree attitude. Oasis has positioned itself as the healthy and fun refreshing still drink for kids and the whole family.

Oasis offers a wide range of rich flavours and beverages based on several fruits and their combinations. Sales have grown significantly over the last few years, and presently, Oasis is the absolute market leader for still fruit drinks in France, Italy and Belgium, whereas in Switzerland it occupies the third position.

Since Cadbury Schweppes purchased Oasis in 1990, a good number of innovative products have been launched. Two good examples are the Oasis Tea range – a mix of tea and fruits created in 1996 – or Oasis Pocket, a 25cl bottle launched in 2001. Further adapting to an increasingly demanding market, new products have been launched such as Oasis without added sugar (the first light still fruit drink) and a variety of new flavours such as Oasis Agrumes (citrus) in 2006.

Following Orangina Schweppes’ commitment to bring healthier and more natural products to consumers, Oasis specifications have been optimised. Today Oasis is totally preservative-free, it has no artificial flavour, and has reduced its added sugar content to a maximum of 9g/ml.
