Sofia Kievskaya is a premium Ukrainian mineral water from the source with a true historical heritage. The source where Sofia Kievskaya comes originated in ancient times. Archeologists assert that it comes from a lake formed in the Jurassic period.
Already at the time of Kiev Rus (1st millennium a.C.), Kiev citizens knew and used water from this source to cure diseases and renew energy levels. When in 1017 Kiev Rus prince, Yaroslav Mydruy, ordered to build Sofia’s Cathedral – a major Orthodox temple in Kiev –, citizens called it “Sofia Kievskaya” referring to the miraculous origin and curable qualities of the mineral water source.
The mineral water Sofia Kievskaya is extracted from a 315 m. deep well. Filtered by the deep rocks, it acquires a unique balanced mix of components having a healthy effect on the human body.
